Televisions offering 8K resolution are often very expensive, and attractive promotions are not common. But today, a small exception is made on the LG 8K 65NANO956NA TV, which is displayed at 869 euros instead of 1,999 euros at Ubaldi.
After 4K, make way for 8K. These televisions, which offer a definition of 7680 x 4320 pixels, are more and more numerous on the market. And even if native 8K content is not yet legion, owning an 8K TV is still a good investment for the future. Especially when the price isn’t as high as usual, as is the case with LG’s 65NANO956NA model. The latter indeed benefits from more than 1,000 euros in reduction currently, which could convince more than one.
The strengths of this LG 8K TV
- An 8K definition (7680 x 4320 pixels) on 65 inches
- HDR10, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos ready
- The WebOS interface
Launched at 2,499 euros, but often displayed at a crossed out price of 1,999 euros on the brand’s website, the LG 8K 65NANO956NA TV is now available at just 869 euros from Ubaldi.
A massive TV with rare picture quality
Equipped with very thin, even invisible borders, the LG 8K 65NANO956NA television already leaves plenty of room for the image, which will extend over a diagonal of 65 inches. We therefore have a rather imposing TV, but in addition to this sober and elegant design as the brand knows how to do so well, its main interest lies of course in its 8K definition (7680 x 4320 pixels). Obviously, if suitable content is still rare, it is still possible to already enjoy an excellent level of detail and amazing image quality. Moreover, for upscaler efficiently 4K content in 8K, the TV embeds the powerful A9 8K Gen 3 processor, which will also take care of optimizing the quality of the image in terms of its colors, for example. But that’s not all that this screen offers: it also features NanoCell technology, which is similar to the QLED invented by Samsung. If the quality remains inferior to OLED, however, we will be entitled here to more vivid colors and more intense blacks than on certain LCD models.
In addition, this model is compatible with several video standards, such as HDR10 and Dolby Vision, for a better visual experience. In terms of sound quality, Dolby Atmos will be present to offer vast and immersive sound. The Filmmaker mode, which can be found on a large number of the brand’s TVs, will also be available, and will allow the image to fit perfectly with the vision of the director of the film viewed.
An interface that is still just as efficient
LG TV requires, this reference is of course accompanied by the webOS 5.0 operating system, which still stands out today for its fluidity and intuitive navigation. Otherwise, you can take advantage of compatibility with Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa or HomeKit. AirPlay 2 and Miracast will also be there to allow you to stream content to your TV from a smartphone or tablet. Finally, the Magic Remote, complete with its effective pointer, will also be provided.
On the other hand, this LG 8K TV will not be optimal for those who would like to use it to play on a next-gen console, since this model offers two HDMI 2.1 ports only compatible with ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode), which significantly reduces latency by automatically switching to a mode provided for this purpose. Indeed, the LG TV cannot display 4K at 120 fps with a 50 Hz panel. However, it has a True Motion mode which can simulate a 100 Hz display.
