Along with plenty of new watches and a smartphone, Huawei also announced a discreet activity tracker. This is the Huawei S-Tag.
Rumors announced the arrival of a new product that responds to the name of Huawei S-Tag. Spotted in certification documents, the media mentioned a Bluetooth tracker like the Samsung SmartTag+ or the Apple AirTags. Nay! It’s just an activity tracker.
An activity tracker that hangs everywhere
The Huawei S-Tag is tiny and light, weighing only 7.5 grams. The goal is for it to find a discreet place on you, that’s what we call a wearable. It provides data that it captures based on your activity, such as running or cycling. No screen, the device is just equipped with an LED to check its status. It’s a kind of motion sensor that you can take with you, put in your shoe or even on your bike wheel to monitor a workout.
During the announcement keynote, Huawei mentioned a few features without going into details: you can dive up to 50 meters under water, so it must certainly have support for swimming, for example.
The S-Tag works with the Huawei Health app and some smartwatches. Incidentally, Huawei also announced the brand new Huawei GT3 Pro, Huawei Band 7, Huawei Fit 2 watch, as well as another Huawei Watch D watch. This latest watch can monitor blood pressure. Finally, let’s not forget the most important announcement: the new Mate Xs 2 smartphone.
