In addition to the Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro and the first foldable Pixel, Google is reportedly working on another high-end smartphone.

Pixel team engineers have a very busy schedule. During Google I/O, the firm unveiled the Pixel 6a, as well as the first images of the two Pixel 7 and 7 Pro, the Pixel Watch and even a new tablet. We also know that a foldable Pixel is being developed, although its release seems uncertain. We now discover in the source code of Android, the references of a new product: another high-end Google Pixel smartphone.
A mysterious code name
The 9To5Google site does
update on various references and codenames found in AOSP source code, version open-source from Android. We find the “C10” and “P10”, respective code names of the Pixel 7 Pro “Cheetah” and the Pixel 7 “Panther”. Note that the initial of each code name corresponds to the product reference. The site reveals two other codenames related to big cats: “Felix” and “Linx”, which they assume are related to the upcoming Pixel 7a and a version of the foldable Pixel Notepad.
From now on, we must add a new reference: the Google “G10”, without knowing a feline name used by Google and starting with G. In writing, we would like to bet on “Geoffroy’s cat”, or cat of Geoffrey in French.
A smartphone dedicated to gaming?
The most interesting, it’s the specs of the smartphone discovered in the source code. It is an Android device using an Exynos or Google Tensor chip and equipped with a 120 Hz screen like the Pixel 6 Pro, with a definition of 3120 x 1440 pixels and a physical size of only 155 x 75mm. In other words, it’s not a tablet.
With a code name starting with G, one is tempted to believe in the creation of a video game-oriented smartphone, which would be supported by the use of a 120 Hz screen. The format similar to that of the Pixel 6 Pro can also make you think of a Z Flip-style foldable, to go with the future Notepad which would have a design close to the Z Fold. However, there is no indication that it is a foldable smartphone. Finally, we can think of a new version of the Pixel 6 Pro, perhaps designed to lower the cost of production over the coming year when it will be replaced by the Pixel 7 Pro in the showcase.
Unable to determine at this time. We only know that Google is working on a new smartphone with characteristics similar to a high-end product.
