It must be said that the manufacturer has the advantage of offering powerful and autonomous devices without raising the price of the invoice too much compared to its competitors. This is the case of the S7 model which is not only a 2-in-1 robot vacuum cleaner but above all a robot vacuum cleaner which has a mop which vibrates for deep cleaning. On paper it has strong arguments, especially since it benefits from a reduction of 205 euros on its price during the French Days.

Vacuum or wash? No need to choose
Hard floors, carpets, parquet, carpets: the Roborock S7 is impeccable on all surfaces. Although it only has one propeller brush, it picks up the elements it encounters on its path impeccably. But its real asset is its mop, because yes it includes one in order to offer a complete cleaning. The latter is now vibrating, and rotates up to 3,000 rpm. This allows the Roborock S7 to rub dirt off, rather than wiping it off, and therefore better remove ground-in dirt. It will also be possible to raise the mop when it approaches an obstacle that should not be wet, but vacuumed, for example a carpet. However, if your carpet is too thick, it will be impossible for the robot to perform this action. You will therefore have to go through the application in order to program a delimitation of an area via the cartography.
A very complete cartography
By integrating a LiDAR sensor, the Roborock S7 will be able to map your home up to four floors, data that you can then consult on the application (available on iOS and Android). This application will allow you to manage the cleaning of your device, create routines to plan a daily passage, configure the intensity of the cleaning, or define zones so that the robot does not destroy everything in its path if you have cables lying around for example. Moreover, it will even be possible to control via your voice, because the vacuum cleaner is compatible with the voice assistant Alexa or Google Assistant. You will be able to integrate routines via these services, for example you can launch a Roborock S7 cleaning program by saying “Alexa, I’m off to work”.
Less stamina than expected, but that’s okay
Finally, in terms of its autonomy, the Roborock S7 will be able to operate for 3 hours before running out of battery, according to the brand. But it’s only in standard mode and therefore without using the mop for washing, a bit of a shame when you know that one of its assets is its mop. Tested by the editorial staff, the robot lasts around 1h30 to 1h45 depending on the surfaces and the needs. It will take more than 2h15 for it to fully recharge and regarding the capacity of these bins, you can count on 470 ml for the one intended to store dust, and 300 ml for the water tank.
