A purported Pixel 7 has popped up on eBay (the ad seems to have since disappeared), showing us Google’s next high-end phone in all its glory.
The Google Pixel 7 is not expected before the fall, as the Mountain View company promised us at Google I/O 2022, and yet a probable prototype of the device is already pointing the tip of its nose several months before its release, reports The Verge. The phone did indeed appear in an eBay listing, which has since been removed.
Nevertheless, it is quite possible to observe it from all angles and to discover, in particular, its new recycled aluminum photo block. Here, Google is beefing up its game by abandoning the plastic of the Pixel 6 to replace it with a more solid material, which also and above all gives it a more premium appearance.
A fairly broad chin
The pre-production model also sports a black color, which had just been shown by the Californian group during its annual conference dedicated to developers. Its front suggests a relatively wide chin, but possibly thinner borders – the angle of the photos may play a role – than those of the Pixel 6.

For their part, the volume and power buttons would not change places: always on the right edge. A screenshot finally shows a storage space of 128 GB. As for the origin of this product, the seller affirmed to The Verge having bought it from a wholesaler, without him knowing the nature of the device.
What do we know about Pixel 7?
Still, this “leak” is in addition to other small indiscretions that have occurred in recent weeks. It is rumored in particular that the screens of Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will be strictly identical to those of their predecessor: 1080 x 2400 pixels and 90 Hz on one side and 1440 x 3120 pixels and 120 Hz on the other.
Google has also confirmed the presence of a Tensor 2 chip, which should logically bring ever more power in the management of algorithms dedicated to artificial intelligence, photo or video. We also hope that the raw performance will go up a notch.
