Amazon launches its eero Pro 6E and eero 6+ Wi-Fi routers in France, which complete the range of eero 6 mesh Wi-Fi systems. The main novelty is that they are compatible with Wi-Fi 6E, the latest network system standard of wireless communication.
Amazon is taking advantage of the French release of the eero Pro 6E and 6+ to lower the price of its eero Pro 6 and 6 routers, which drop to 229 and 119 euros respectively. Two new routers that adopt the latest Wi-Fi 6E standard.
Wi-Fi routers capable of reaching 1 Gb/s
The eero Pro 6E Wi-Fi system is “capable of supporting speeds of 1 gigabit and above and more than 100 simultaneously connected devicesAmazon announces in a press release. It can receive speeds of up to 2.3 Gb/s by combining 1 Gb/s wired and 1. Gb/s wireless. It has two Ethernet ports for connecting wired devices: a 2.5 gigabit port and a 1 gigabit port. The brand announces that only one eero Pro 6E “covers up to 190 square meters and a set of 3 covers up to 560 square meters“.
On the eero 6+ side, it will be able to connect up to 75 devices and support 1 Gb/s. A little less equipped, it has two Ethernet ports of 1 gigabit each. For the cover,a single eero 6+ covers up to 140 square meters and a 3-pack covers up to 420 square meters“.
Amazon imagines uses like “virtual reality, augmented reality and 8K streaming» for its new Wi-Fi routers throughout the house.

The e-commerce giant highlights the easy installation of its routers which is done in a few minutes. There is also backwards compatibility with previous generation devices. These routers use TrueMesh technology, which optimizes the networkto reduce congestion, buffering and connection drops“.
For fans of home automation, this Wi-Fi system includes a Zigbee hut, which allows you to connect compatible connected objects: no need for an additional hub if you are equipped with eero products. Amazon also states that “eero 6 devices can also act as a Thread router to ensure interoperability with Matter-certified devices“. As a reminder, Matter is a standard aimed at promoting interoperability between connected objects and ecosystems designed by different manufacturers.
