The Galaxy Buds 2 are true wireless that take advantage of Samsung’s know-how, but with an affordable price for small budgets. Today, they fall to 69 euros against 149 euros when they were released.

Wireless noise canceling headphones are now widespread on the market, but the prices do not suit all budgets. Samsung designs more affordable wireless headphones without neglecting audio performance and even integrating advanced features. These are the Galaxy Buds 2 which today benefit from a reduction of 54% on their initial price.

Comfortable headphones that charge quickly
The Galaxy Buds 2 take up the aesthetic lines of the Buds Pro. No rod format, here Samsung offers in-ear headphones with a rounded format. Once in your ear canal, the headphones are very comfortable and will be forgotten during long listening sessions, in particular thanks to their lightness (only 6.3 grams per earbud). The Galaxy Buds 2 have a rather large touch surface allowing them to be easily controlled. As for the case, it is rather compact and will be easy to store in a pocket.
Moreover, the latter deploys 20 hours of use and, without ANC, it can deliver up to 29 hours of autonomy. A 38-minute charge will suffice to fully recharge the headphones and the case – handy when the headphones promise a battery life of 5 hours with ANC. Wireless charging is a little slower, of course, but it’s still there. Finally, note that the Buds 2 are only IPX2 certified compared to the IPX7 index of the Galaxy Buds Pro. They therefore resist only splashes of water projected at an angle of up to 15°.
Effective active noise reduction
These headphones have the particularity of including active noise reduction, just like on the Pro models. According to the brand, the headphones should reduce background noise by 98%. Some competitors do better, but the headphones do well and manage to reduce a good part of the noise. There’s also a transparency mode that can be changed through the Galaxy Wearables app and offers three modes: low, medium or high to stay tuned depending on the situation.
For the audio part, the Samsung headphones offer a warm and balanced sound reproduction, broadcast through the dynamic speakers. We therefore have a tweeter, which will focus on the highs and mids, and a woofer, focused on the bass. Also, headphones true-wireless are compatible with the classic codecs such as Bluetooth SBC and AAC, but we will not be able to find aptX or LDAC. For this price range, they have the merit of being quite precise and efficient, especially in vocals or treble.
