Prixtel has just updated its mobile plans. And as often, the prices displayed are among the best of the week. Its Le petit package displays 40 GB of data for 4.99 euros per month and its Le grand package offers 100 GB for 6.99 euros per month.
Why pay 10 euros for your mobile plan when you can get better for half the price? This is the question that Prixtel is asking you this morning, with the update of the prices of its two main packages. Briefly summarizing:
These prices are really interesting when you look at what other operators offer. Their promotional offers are often twice as high with barely more data.
The small: the flexible package from 4.99 euros per month
Prixtel packages have a very interesting feature: they are flexible. This means that it offers a basic offer (here in this case 40 GB of data for 4.99 euros per month), but that you can exceed it without problem. The package adapts to your usage if one month you need more data than usual.
Very concretely if you consume:
- up to 40 GB of data then you pay 4.99 euros per month;
- between 40 and 50 GB of data, then your bill will show 7.99 euros per month;
- between 50 and 60 GB of data, you pay 9.99 euros per month.
Let’s take an example. If in the middle of August, you consume 55 GB of data, then you will pay 9.99 euros this month. But the following month, you will automatically return to 4.99 euros if you only consume 35 GB of data. Finally, you cannot exceed the limit of 60 GB of data per month. Beyond that, the throughput will be greatly reduced. The bill will never exceed 9.99 euros per month.
Also note that the Le petit mobile plan offers a roaming data envelope when you go abroad. This amounts to 10 GB of data to be consumed within the limits of the borders of the European Union.
As far as calls are concerned, the Le Petit package contains everything you would expect from a good package. Unlimited calls, SMS and MMS from mainland France, as well as from Europe and the overseas departments to a French number are at no extra cost.
This promotion on the Le petit package is valid for one year only. After 12 months, Le petit will return to its usual price, namely 9.99 euros per month for the first level, 12.99 euros per month for the second level and 14.99 euros per month for the third level.
However, the offer is non-binding, so you can change operators whenever you want.
The big one: the best price of the moment for 100 GB of data
If you feel a little cramped with 40 GB of data, Prixtel offers a more generous data plan for barely two euros more per month: Le grand. In form, it is substantially identical to the Le petit pass.
This is again a flexible promotional package. It is available in three price levels, which break down as follows:
- up to 100 GB of data for 6.99 euros per month (then 12.99 € after one year);
- between 100 and 120 GB of data for 9.99 euros per month (then 15.99 € after one year);
- between 120 and 140 GB of data for 12.99 euros per month (then 18.99 € after one year).
The big one also has a roaming data envelope, which amounts to 20 GB.
The dunk: from 20 to 80 GB of data from €5.99/month… Even after a year
The dunk is a new mobile plan from Prixtel. On paper, it may seem a little less interesting than the other two. There is a size subtlety: unlike the Large and the Small, its price does not increase after 12 months. This is the assurance of keeping a package with a good data envelope without suffering constant price increases from other operators.
Like all Prixtel packages, it is flexible. Here are its different levels:
- up to 20 GB of data for 5.99 euros per month;
- between 20 and 50 GB of data for 7.99 euros per month;
- up to 80 GB of data for 9.99 euros per month.
Considering the current competition prices, this package is a very good deal. Few mobile plans offer 80 GB of data for less than 10 euros.
