The Swedish manufacturer has just lifted the veil on the Polestar 3, its future electric sedan. We had already seen it camouflaged, but the photo and video published by Polestar today allow us to appreciate the final design of the car.
While Polestar cars (the Polestar and the Polestar 2) are still not available in France due to a disagreement with Citroën, the Swedish brand sells its vehicles all over the world and especially in Europe. We therefore hope that the Polestar 3 that can be seen in the photo above will be available for sale in France when it is released!
Still, the Gothenburg manufacturer gave us a little surprise today by publishing the first photo of the Polestar 3 without camouflage. We can thus contemplate the line of this crossover which tends towards the SUV with its large rims and its very marked wheel arches, like the Renault Megane E-Tech.
The video, meanwhile, reveals even more visual details with particularly a magnificent rear light composed of a long line of LEDs. The front visual signature is also very marked, with two lines of LEDs, in the form of an L at 90°, on either side. We see the interior of the SUV, but too quickly to appreciate the details.
See you in October 2022
The production of the Polestar 3 is scheduled to start from the beginning of 2023. We should know the technical sheet when the car is formalized next October. Expect a luxury sedan, in the footsteps of the Polestar 2, with two motors (for four-wheel drive) and a larger capacity battery than the current 78 kWh.
The price should be quite high, since the Polestar 3 should come to compete with the BMW iX M60, Audi E-Tron S and Tesla Model X. Next will come the Polestar 4 (which should come to compete with the Tesla Model Y) then the Polestar 5, which would come hunting on the lands of the Tesla Model S.
