Many Facebook iOS users have noticed that dark mode is no longer available in the app while Facebook does not provide an explanation. A feature that users miss.

9to5Mac spotted many netizens on social media complaining about the unavailability of Facebook’s dark mode on iOS. Information confirmed by the media. It’s likely just a simple bug, but Facebook hasn’t acknowledged the issue and hasn’t given a date for a potential fix yet.
The reporting of Internet users
Many iOS Facebook app users have been posting on social media talking about the disappearance of dark mode. Among them, some French people, especially on Twitter:
It’s only me since the update #Facebook on IOS I no longer have dark mode? 🤔

Dark mode has disappeared from Facebook mobile apps (iOS and Android) since the last update.
For such an important feature, I think it’s an accident because dark mode is still available on older versions and the desktop version.

However, contrary to what this latest Twitter member says, Facebook’s dark mode still seems to be available on Android; we tested the application and the mode is still available there (app updated on May 24).
An unexplained disappearance
This disappearance includes toggling dark mode through the iOS settings, but also the one in the settings menu of the Facebook app itself. In other words, dark mode is simply not available on iOS anymore.
It would be really surprising if this change was voluntary on the part of Facebook, the dark mode being a very used feature. In the latest patch notes, there is no mention of this display mode. Let’s hope that Facebook does not take too long to deliver its explanations.
