In order to compete with RED by SFR and B&You from Bouygues Telecom, Free Mobile is today launching a new limited-edition package that includes 90 GB of 4G data for only 9.99 euros per month.
At the moment, the mobile plan market is full of promotions from different operators. B&You and RED both recently posted a non-binding offer of 80 GB for 9 euros per month and Free responds with a new limited-edition package that simply offers 10 GB more for just 1 euro more per month.
What does the Free Series plan offer?
- Unlimited calls, SMS, MMS
- With 90 GB in France and 8 GB in Europe
- For a small price during the first year
The Free mobile 90 GB package is available in limited series until June 14, 2022. Its monthly price is 9.99 euros for one year, then you will automatically switch to the Free 4G/5G 210 GB package at 19.99 euros per month on the date of your first birthday.
An evolutionary communication
For its new limited-edition mobile plan, Free offers calls to landlines throughout France and unlimited calls, SMS and MMS to mobiles in mainland France, Europe and the overseas departments (excluding Mayotte). However, it is not as extensive as the 5G package which offers international destinations included such as Canada, Australia, the USA, China or Israel, but you will have access to all of this in a year if you keep your package. .
“A lot of data at a smart price”
This is the slogan of Free mobile, and it is true that it is rather clever on its part. When its main competitors, B&You and RED, offer 80 GB of 4G data for 9 euros per month, the operator reputed to have cut market prices outbids with 10 GB additional for only 1 euro more, i.e. a total of 90 GB for 10 euros per month. It is therefore an envelope that meets the majority of needs even more, whether for streaming, online gaming or connection sharing (from time to time).
From Europe and the overseas departments, the amount of 4G data is obviously reduced compared to France. It is still 8 GB which are allocated, but deducted from the total envelope. Note also that the flow is reduced beyond the entire envelope consumed in France. Abroad, the MB is charged 0.0054 euro.

Is my smartphone compatible?
Finally, you should know that Free mainly uses the bank-frequency of 700 MHz. The operator has no less than 12,386 antennas of this frequency out of the 15,361 available in France, for an occupation of approximately 80% of the park. It is then essential to have a b28 compatible smartphone in order to benefit 100% from 4G at Free.
How do I keep my number?
You can of course keep your current mobile number by changing the plan. First of all, it is necessary to add 10 euros to the total of your order to obtain the new triple-cut SIM. The change of operator is then made without interruption if you keep your number. It’s free and just provide the RIO code of your line when registering. If you don’t know how to proceed, consult our tutorial to request your RIO.
