iOS 16 and watchOS 9 should bring new features, without fundamentally changing their design.
The interface of the iPhone 14, iOS 16, should not upset the uses of users, but it could introduce “major changes”. In any case, this is what Mark Gurman, the journalist specializing in the apple brand, claims in his newsletter, power-on (via Apple Insider).
New apps and new features
Behind the somewhat grandiloquent expression, we can already read “new ways to interact” with iPhone. As we know, iOS is full of small features that improve everyday life such as App Clips or the possibility of moving files or images “en bloc” to the notepad. Apple has certainly thought of new handy shortcuts.
Another announcement that should occur: new official apps could appear. Unfortunately, we do not yet know in which field they will be able to relate.
On the design side, like Android 13 which essentially takes the look of Android 12, iOS 16 should be fairly inseparable from iOS 15.
watchOS not left out
For Apple Watch users, the next version of the interface, watchOS 9, should also have its share of surprises in store. Gurman argues that this version will be “just as important”. Does it refer to the possible arrival of a low-power always-on mode already mentioned by previous leaks? Possible, but we can probably expect other elements.
Presentations of iOS 16 and watchOS 9 are expected on June 6, 2022, during the manufacturer’s developer conference, WWDC.
