Marshall has just unveiled two new small format Bluetooth speakers, the Marshall Emberton II and Marshall Willen.

It is precisely two compact speakers that were presented this Tuesday by Zound Industries – which develops headphones and speakers on behalf of Marshall – the Marshall Emberton II and Marshall Willen.
Logically, the new Marshall Emberton II succeeds the first Emberton launched in July 2020. Like the initial model, the speaker is displayed in a particularly small size with dimensions of 68 x 160 x 76 mm and a weight of 700 grams . On the audio reproduction side, it benefits from two broadband transducers 2 inches in diameter and a passive radiator to accompany the bass. Enough to offer a frequency response of 60 to 20,000 Hz. On the wireless transmission side, the Marshall Emberton II can count on Bluetooth 5.1. Zound Industries, however, does not specify which Bluetooth audio codecs are compatible.
Other features include IP67 sealing to protect the enclosure against immersion at a depth of 1 meter for 30 minutes. The speaker also benefits from 30 hours of battery life, a gain of 50% compared to the first Emberton. The full recharge of the Emberton II is done in 3 hours with 20 minutes of charge allowing to recover 4 hours of listening.
A very compact little speaker
The second Marshall speaker presented this Tuesday is a novelty, the Marshall Willen. This is the most compact speaker ever launched by Marshall, with a format of 101.6 x 100.5 x 40.4 mm. Small size obliges, the speaker offers a more limited autonomy than the Emberton II with up to 15 hours of use on a single charge.
For sound, the Marshall Willen has a 2-inch broadband transducer with two passive radiators, enough to ensure a frequency response of 100 to 20,000 Hz. It is also IP67 certified and has a mounting strap for hang it wherever you want. The speaker is also Bluetooth 5.1 compatible although it is unknown which audio codecs are compatible. Note also that, unlike the Emberton II, the Willen has a microphone and can therefore be used to make voice calls.
The Marshall Willen will be available from June 30 in black, at a price of 99 euros. A cream version will also be launched on August 30. The Marshall Emberton II will also be available in black or cream, with both colors going on sale May 10, at 169 euros.
