According to the Deadline site, Netflix is considering bringing live content to its platform in order to involve subscribers, in particular by voting.

Don’t expect to see Netflix turn into a TV channel, however. The aim is to integrate broadcast programs “ unscripted », hear reality TV format, and stand-up shows. All of this would allow subscribers to vote live for candidates. And so, as on linear channels, to make money in this way if it happens… (or to integrate advertising).

Live streaming on Netflix is still a long way off. The French experiment with Direct has not yet been generalized to all the countries covered by the platform. For the moment, the idea of applying it to reality TV content or in the contest format is following its course, with no guarantee of success.
