Known for its more affordable prices, the Nord range of the Chinese manufacturer OnePlus welcomes its first headphones: the Nord Buds. These new True Wireless intras promise to combine generous autonomy, a good audio experience, as well as a very reasonable price.

OnePlus announced its Nord Buds on Thursday. The first headphones to join the Nord range, the Nord Buds were presented at the same time as two new affordable smartphones expected soon on the European market: the Nord 2T 5G and Nord CE 2 Lite 5G, which we were still talking about recently.
As expected, the OnePlus Nord Buds have a relatively complete technical sheet for their price, which starts at $39.99 across the Atlantic. In Europe, we should find them at the end of May at around 50 euros. Of course, some concessions are made to stay on this very affordable price positioning.
In particular, it will be necessary to ignore the ANC (active noise reduction) and the three microphones per earpiece of the OnePlus Buds Z2. Here, each earphone includes only two microphones. Call quality could therefore be slightly reduced, even if OnePlus mentions ” AI-powered noise reduction algorithms to improve the experience during voice exchanges.
Generous autonomy and Dolby Atmos certification on the menu
That being said, the OnePlus Nord Buds can count on a rather generous autonomy, announced at 7 hours per earphone and 38 hours in total with the charging box. OnePlus also promises low latency for these new intras (especially when connected to a smartphone of the brand and the ProGaming mode is active, underlines The Verge). Fast charging is also on the menu to allow the case to fill up quickly.
The Nord Buds should otherwise have convincing audio quality, with 12.4 mm drivers and Dolby Atmos certification also promised. OnePlus finally boasts the design of its headphones, supposed to remain comfortable during long listening sessions. So many promises that deserve to be verified during a test.
