Activity trackers are the perfect gadget for anyone looking to keep fit. And what better than the French Days to have one at a low price! The Oppo Band Sport is on promotion at 29 euros against 49.99 euros usually.
After entering the smartphone market, the Chinese manufacturer Oppo is seeking to diversify and is attacking the market for connected bracelets with the Oppo Band in Sport version. Like Xiaomi, this rival brand offers products at low prices, but this is clearly not expensive thanks to this reduction of more than 20 euros.
The Oppo Band Sport in a nutshell
- A good quality OLED screen
- Many health features
- Comfortable autonomy
Usually offered at a price of 49.99 euros, the Oppo Band Sport connected bracelet benefits from a 42% reduction and goes to 29 euros on Amazon.
An elegant bracelet that comes with a beautiful screen
The brand’s first connected bracelet, the Oppo Band Sport offers a little originality to distinguish itself from the competition. There is a classic sports bracelet, but also a more elegant style version, which has a stainless steel buckle around the sensor. Otherwise, it’s an oval-shaped bracelet that’s pleasant to use and easily forgotten on your wrist. For the screen, Oppo does not skimp on quality by offering AMOLED with excellent contrast. However, there is a diagonal of 1.1 inches, which may seem little compared to the competition.
The screen displays a decent resolution (126 x 294 pixels). You will have no problem reading the screen in broad daylight, provided you turn up the brightness to the maximum. Besides that, Oppo ensures the connectivity of its bracelet so that you can have access to most notifications from your phone, it is even able to display messages via SMS and certain social networks. You can even trigger the camera or control the music.
A good follow-up of your health and sport, but…
Like any good connected bracelet, the Oppo Band can measure 12 different sports activities, including outdoor running, cycling, rowing, swimming (don’t panic, the bracelet is waterproof up to 50 m deep) or… cricket. However, it is quite regrettable not to find the sports practiced on the French market, such as football, basketball or tennis, which are not supported. No GPS here… This bracelet does not have one, but on that side, the competitors are no better. You will therefore have to rely on the accuracy of your smartphone’s GPS. To find all the data following your sports activities, just go to the brand’s dedicated application.
An activity tracker that lacks exercises, but makes up for it on the health side. Just like the Mi Smart Band 6, Oppo’s connected bracelet can constantly measure the heart rate, but also the oxygen saturation in the blood, the famous SpO2. It can also monitor sleep quality and offers breathing exercises. Finally, in terms of autonomy, Oppo integrates a 100 mAh battery into its bracelet. This allows the bracelet to offer up to 12 days of autonomy on a single charge, again according to the manufacturer. Be aware that the autonomy is quite average once all the tracking is activated. Expect a week instead.
