Orange lowers the monthly price of its Livebox Up Fiber offer (up to 2 Gbit/s)

Orange is back in the news today thanks to a price reduction on its Livebox Up Fiber subscription. Indeed, the monthly rate was 29.99 euros per month the first year, but it is now 25.99 euros.

Today, Orange has decided to change some offers on the side of mobile plans, but also its Internet subscriptions, whether in Fiber or ADSL. The one that interests us today is the Livebox Up, which still loses 4 euros every month during the first year.

What is the Livebox Up Fibre?

Previously offered at 29.99 euros monthly, the Livebox Up Fiber offer is available at 25.99 euros per month for one year until July 12, 2022. The 12-month commitment corresponds to the promotion period, then the price will then increase to 49.99 monthly if you want to keep your subscription.

You will be charged 119 euros if the trip of a technician is necessary to connect your accommodation. Also count the activation costs linked to the TV decoder, which amounts to 40 euros and 10 euros if you request a Wi-Fi 6 compatible repeater. Finally, Orange undertakes to reimburse you up to 150 euros for termination fees with your current operator.

The best Fiber on the market at a reduced price

Sosh is currently offering a much cheaper offer, but much less complete than that of Orange today. The theoretical speeds are already not the same between the two, with 300 Mb / s on one side and up to 2 Gbit / s shared on the other, for download. In sending, count no less than 600 Mbit / s with the incumbent operator. This difference is clearly not negligible, especially if you receive the maximum speed in your slot. Whatever the case, you will have access to Orange’s excellent infrastructures to benefit from a constant speed, enough to download very quickly, watch streaming without loss of quality or even manage your home automation installation without slowing down.

This offer includes the supply of a Livebox 5 equipped with Wi-Fi 5 and 4 Ethernet ports. Everything can be controlled very simply and instantly from the My Livebox application. However, and upon request, you can obtain a Wi-Fi 6 compatible repeater to improve network quality for your wireless devices.

A telephone line and a 4K decoder

Whether it’s Sosh or Orange, both offer a fixed telephone line with unlimited calls to landlines in mainland France, the overseas departments and more than 100 destinations abroad (including the USA and Canada) . However, the low-cost and non-binding operator does not include a decoder by default, only access to a dedicated application to watch a few TV channels on smartphones and tablets. As for Orange, it does not neglect the TV offer and offers a catalog of 140 channels, some of which are 4K UHD compatible, but above all the supply on request of a TV decoder which is also 4K compatible. It is even possible to record up to 100 hours of programs with the Multi-screen TV Recorder (again on request).
