Renault is significantly increasing the prices of its iconic electric city car, the Zoé. The French brand is also introducing a new premium finish.
Renault is neither the first nor the last to raise the price of its electric cars. Between the cost of raw materials, the growing shortages, car manufacturers are all tempted by increases. Tesla has skyrocketed the price of its Model 3, which has made it lose access to the biggest ecological bonus. Prices have also increased for other very different models, such as the Citroën Ami or the Dacia Spring.
Renault revises its Zoé offer
The increase in prices at Renault is not as substantial as in Germany, where the Zoé first price is now at 36,840 euros instead of 33,140 euros (3,700 euros more). In France, the entry level named Balance does not receive any modification while its price increases by 900 euros to reach 33,700 euros, excluding bonuses.
Renault takes the opportunity to review its offer with a finish Iconicthe top of the range, which replaces the finish tech. With a tint Gold, with golden accents on the bodywork and in the passenger compartment, or even the 17-inch diamond rims. This finish Iconic, with 135 hp R135 engines, is available from 36,900 euros. We are talking here about 900 euros more than the version tech that she replaces.

The ecological bonus should drop on July 1
As a reminder, from July 1, 2022, the amount of the ecological bonus – likely to be paid for the purchase or rental of a low-polluting vehicle – should drop by 1,000 euros. However, Bruno Le Maire had promised to keep it at 6,000 euros, but we still have no news of this promise, a few days before the deadline.
