A very convincing entry-level
Displayed at a fairly affordable price, the Xiami Poco M4 Pro offers elegant finishes with its thin borders around its screen. What is strong is also its screen which is AMOLED with an FHD + definition (2,400 x 1,080 pixels). Xiaomi does not stop there and offers a refresh rate of up to 90 Hz to ensure a smooth browsing experience.
The Chinese firm guarantees, as usual, an enduring smartphone. Its 5,000 mAh battery will last the smartphone for at least a day and a half, which of course can vary depending on your use. For this price range, we especially appreciate the presence of a 33 W fast charge. We are far from the 120W offered by the Xiaomi 11T Pro, but it only takes 30 minutes to go from 0 to 54% and a little less an hour for a full charge.
Despite some concessions
In this good plan, it is the 4G version, which is less beefy than the 5G model. Nevertheless, with its Mediatek Helio G96 SoC, the Poco M4 Pro ensures a fairly smooth experience overall. You will not be able to run 3D games that are too greedy, but this configuration will be more than enough to consult your social networks, do web browsing and support multitasking. On the software side, this entry-level has the merit of offering the home interface, MIUI 13, based on Android 12.
For the photo, it is not an excellent photophone but it shows versatility with a triple sensor 64 + 8 + 2 megapixels. The quality of the images remains correct, but once night falls the camera will be very limited. And finally, the Xiaomi Poco M4 Pro also has a 3.5mm jack as well as a MicroSD card port – quite rare these days, but which continue to be offered on affordable phones.
