The TOP 3 of the best wireless mice
Whether on a desktop computer or on a device equipped with a touch screen such as an iPad, the wireless mouse provides precision, speed of execution and simplicity. You still have to choose the right one. We have therefore selected the best wireless mice to accompany your desktop computer and those that will delight your laptop, whether it is under Windows or macOS, or your Android tablet or iPad.
We have targeted two uses: the best mice for working at your desk and the best for mobile use. Anyway, all the mice in this selection will be suitable for sedentary use or on the go, but some are more suitable for the first than the second. Logitech MX Master 3S: our recommendation

Logitech is a major player in office accessories. Among the reference models, the MX Master 3S, which brings a lot of beneficial improvements compared to the Master 3. In essence, few elements are modified on the product. The design remains unchanged, favoring palm grip. The Master 3S is designed for right-handers. Above all, the buttons in place benefit from a revised mechanism to reduce click noise.
In order to improve your user experience, this Logitech mouse works in symbiosis with the “Logi Options+” software, which allows you to manage all the brand’s devices on a daily basis. Of course, this is mostly available on newer devices.
You will understand, this mouse is one of the best at the moment for 130 euros. To learn more, we direct you to the product test written by Manuel.
Why choose the Logitech MX Master 3S:
- Very comfortable in hand
- Logi Options+ software
- A quieter click
Why not choose it?
- Not designed for lefties
- No dongle storage
MX Master: If you want to save money
If that’s a bit expensive for you, Logitech still sells the first MX Master of the name for a few tens of euros less. Reserved for Amazon, this version benefits from very interesting regular promotions.
Logitech MX Vertical: ergonomics

Although not very mobile with non-standard dimensions, this Logitech mouse is nevertheless quite light with a weight of 135 grams. The MX Vertical is designed for those who work intensely with a mouse or who really want to spare their wrist joints. Thus, this vertical mouse reduces tension in the forearm and wrist by naturally realigning your hand at 60°.
A particularly ergonomic and comfortable architecture over time. Recharging is done through a USB-C port which gives 24 hours of battery life in three minutes of charging. However, it requires some time to adapt to get used to this very special position. It is available for a hundred euros on Amazon.
The Logitech MX Vertical in a nutshell:
- Comfortable and designed to avoid tension in the forearm and wrist
- Ideal for long term use
- Very good autonomy + rechargeable by USB-C
Logitech MX Ergo: the best trackball
We believed the trackballs relegated to the annals of computing, but Logitech had the brilliant idea of bringing them up to date with the MX Ergo. MX series obliges we find an impeccable finish and a connectivity which leaves us the choice between the dongle supplied or Bluetooth.
Note that you can be connected to two devices at the same time and switch from one to the other with a simple press of a button.
The track ball itself is very precise and of course uses an optical sensor. For jobs that require even more precision, a button lets you change the DPI on the fly. The return to a ball, however, brings back concerns that we had forgotten for a long time: it will thus be necessary to remove the ball to clean the mouse very regularly, because the latter becomes dirty. Count one cleaning (which only takes one minute) per week. The autonomy is excellent and easily exceeds two months on a charge.
If it takes a little time to acclimatize, the MX Ergo is very pleasant to use on a daily basis and frankly limits muscle and joint fatigue. Yours truly has been using it for several years.
The Logitech MX Ergo in a nutshell:
- Extremely comfortable
- Can be used on multiple devices at the same time
- Autonomy
Wireless mice for on the go
Logitech MX Anywhere 3: the most versatile
Logitech takes care of the design of its products and proves it once again here. The MX Anywhere 3 also allows itself to be robust and very ergonomic. It perfectly matches the curves of the hand while being very compact and light (99 grams).
Main evolution compared to the previous version: the adoption of the same magnetic wheel as on the MX Master 3. In addition to being extremely comfortable to use, the latter is very resistant. We also have two additional programmable buttons on the side. Finally, we salute an autonomy of 70 days and in the event of a dry breakdown, one minute of charge gives 3 hours of use. It will cost you 78 euros.
The Logitech MX Anywhere 3 in a nutshell:
- Design, robust and comfortable
- Ergonomics
- Precision
- Excellent autonomy
MX Master Anywhere 2: save money
As with the classic MX Master Logitech offers an “Amazon” version of the MX Master Anywhere 2. We lose the magnetic wheel, but the price is down and above all it is regularly on sale.
Microsoft Surface Mobile: the best value for money

With an elegant and minimalist design, this mouse has style and is available in three colors (Platinum, Cobalt Blue and Bordeaux). It is comfortable, but being rather flat, it tends to tire the wrist over time. It offers two buttons and a rather fluid wheel, but which sometimes lacks precision. It turns out to be very nomadic with its 78 g.
We regret that the magnetic cover that holds the battery comes off easily and ends up wandering around in your bag. Let’s add that an AAA battery is enough to power it for a good dozen months of autonomy. Unlike the other mice in this selection which connect either via a dongle, or in Bluetooth, it only works in Bluetooth. At less than 23 euros, it is the best value for money of our selection.
The Microsoft Surface Mobile in a nutshell:
- Minimalist and elegant design
- very flat
- Autonomy of almost a year
Razer Atheris: for gamers on the go

The Razer Atheris is a very nice mouse with a very pleasant color and matte touch. She is quite nomadic with her 120 g on the scale. The icing on the cake, it benefits from an ambidextrous design that is as rare as it is pleasant for those concerned. It is also one of the most precise on the market: here we find Razer’s know-how in gaming.
It will be ideal for gaming or simply for precise photo editing. Note that it works very well on glass surfaces. Unlike its competitor Logitech, no USB charging: 2 AA batteries are required to power it for an announced autonomy of only 350 hours. We also recommend using rechargeable batteries. It is available for less than 50 euros.
The Razer Atheris in a nutshell:
- Ambidextrous design
- High precision for gaming
- Very nice matte look
Apple Magic Trackpad 2: the best companion for the iPad
With the arrival of iPad OS 13.4
, the Apple Magic Trackpad is also a great solution to accompany your iPad. It will allow you to enjoy many interactions allowed by its support. It is particularly useful for taking advantage of the gestures multi-touch such as returning to the home screen, switching between applications or using the buttons.
If it is recommended especially for the iPad, nothing prevents you from using it with a Windows computer. If it works without driverswe recommend you to use Mac Precision TouchPad for more precision.
You will find it for around 110 euros on Amazon.
Choosing the right Bluetooth wireless mouse
Nomadic or sedentary wireless mouse, how to choose?
In reality, it’s quite simple: if you want an extra mouse to work when you’re on the move, opt for a portable mouse. That is to say a product with a low weight and a small footprint.
At home, being overweight is less of a problem. In general, this allows you to take advantage of a nice surface to comfortably place your palm and fingers. But that is not enough, the lines must follow the shapes of the hand. Finally, some mice incorporate additional programmable buttons.
What are the important points to check before buying?
We recommend favoring battery-operated models, it is generally easier to find something to recharge the battery than to buy batteries, especially for a nomadic mouse. Unfortunately, the latter more readily use batteries, it’s cheaper, and it also saves size. Finally, prefer products that work on a glass surface. On the go, you never know what kind of desk you’ll have on hand.
What are the trustmarks?
Several brands are battling in the wireless mouse market. The most famous is Logitech, which has a great history and had few hiccups. The preponderance of the brand in our guide to the best wireless mice shows this very well. Computer manufacturers also usually offer quality peripherals. This is particularly the case of Microsoft or Apple. In the more niche segment of gaming mice, Razer is also well-regarded.
