A thinner design, and a brighter panel
The LG OLED55C2 is inspired by its predecessor, but with some design changes. LG designs a thinner TV, with a foot that no longer occupies the entire width and takes up less space once placed on a piece of furniture. Now, the C2 model uses lighter materials, including a composite fiber frame that halves the weight of the entire TV. Result: the TV has a more streamlined look with excellent finishes and even thinner edges.
Already of excellent quality, the OLED panels make a strong impression and the C2 series does even better by relying on OLED EVO technology, which provides more brightness. It is also 20% brighter than the older generation. Obviously, we are entitled to infinite contrasts, deep blacks and bright colors and excellent brightness.
A very complete TV
Who says new model, says new processor. The LG OLED55 C2 TV is based on the Alpha 9 Gen 5 processor. The latter adds more efficient upscaling technology thanks to more powerful algorithms, to move 1080p content to 4K definition more efficiently. Otherwise, the LG C2 is HDR, HDR10, Dolby Vision IQ compatible. As for the audio part, it is also improved, where we go from a virtual mix in 5.1 on the C1 range to 7.1.2 for a wider sound.

Another function is dedicated to the family with an eye protection option for the youngest, a maximum volume limit, the possibility of monitoring usage times and a screen time report.
A last allows you to display standby images, play music when the TV is on standby. Of course, you can quickly access flagship applications, such as Netflix, Disney +, Prime Video or YouTube. Finally, the TV is also compatible with the various voice assistants on the market.
