Released two years ago, the Huawei FreeBuds Studio wireless headphones are still a good reference today for those who want durable and efficient headphones. It becomes even more recommendable at the moment thanks to a reduction of 170 euros on the official website of the brand: it thus goes from 329 euros to 159 euros.

After wireless headphones, Huawei launched its very first Bluetooth headphones in 2020. The Huawei FreeBuds Studio thus offers several features particularly sought after by consumers today, such as active noise reduction, excellent battery life and Bluetooth Multipoint. A rather complete technical sheet which is becoming more interesting at the moment thanks to a reduction of 170 euros.
The essential points of the Huawei FreeBuds Studio
- A wireless headset with neat finishes
- Excellent autonomy
- Bluetooth Multipoint and active noise reduction
First offered at 329 euros, then reduced to 179 euros, the Huawei FreeBuds Studio wireless headphones are now offered at 159 euros on the official Huawei website thanks to a reduction of 150 euros coupled with a coupon of 20 euros to be collected by logging in with a Huawei account.

A very comfortable helmet
The Huawei FreeBuds Studio doesn’t revolutionize things when it comes to design, but that’s not a bad thing. These headphones thus adopt an appearance similar to that of the flagship models of Sony or Bose, with this characteristic circum-aural format and these rounded lines. This format not only has the advantage of offering better comfort over time, but also of offering passive insulation, since the pads encompass the ears and already filter out certain noises. The headband will also be adjustable and well padded, which will be particularly pleasant given that the helmet is rather tight at ear level. Despite weighing 260 grams, the pressure will be well distributed between the top of the head and the sides. Regarding its finishes, these are neat, in particular thanks to metal-effect plastic shells and leather-style pads.
Bluetooth Multipoint is part of it
You should also know that the Huawei FreeBuds Studio is an exclusively Bluetooth headset. It cannot therefore be used in wired mode, since no 3.5 mm jack is present here. Too bad for those who tend to forget to charge their device and would like to take advantage of this wired connection instead. However, the Bluetooth connection has not been sloppy. In particular, a Bluetooth 5.2 chip has been integrated to ensure an effective connection in all situations. But the Huawei FreeBuds Studio is above all compatible with Bluetooth Multipoint, which allows the user to connect the headphones to two devices simultaneously. Convenient to switch from one to the other without having to remove the headset from his ears. The only downside to this Bluetooth: a small audio latency characteristic of headsets of this type in certain situations, such as in game.
Balanced sound, but average active noise reduction
Despite the brand’s promises, active noise reduction is not really the strong point of the Huawei FreeBuds Studio. If it defends itself very well in particularly noisy situations, such as on the street with heavy traffic, the voices will still be audible. If you want to cancel out only the loudest and bass noises around you, headphones will be fine. Also note that the noise reduction option can be adjusted, from the application, with four possible parameters depending on the sound environment. Regarding the sound this time, it will be rather balanced. The headset features 40mm transducers in each earpiece. The highs, mids and lows will be well highlighted.
Excellent autonomy
One of its other assets, and not the least, is its autonomy. According to the Chinese manufacturer, the Huawei FreeBuds Studio can last for 24 hours, and for 20 hours with active noise reduction. But in fact, the headset can indeed last nearly 48 hours without needing to be recharged. On the charging side, this will be done by USB-C socket. With a 22.5W charger, a full charge will even take less than an hour. In short, faultless for its autonomy.
