The Honor Magic 4 Pro was released just a few days ago and it is already enjoying a big promotion at Fnac. Indeed, the price of the brand’s new high-end smartphone goes from 1,099 euros to 899 euros by choosing in-store withdrawal.

Now that Honor can reuse Google’s services, its smartphones become more interesting. The Chinese brand which separated from Huawei had not yet released premium references since, but it is now done with the very good Magic 4 Pro launched a few days ago in France. And good news, the latter is already 200 euros cheaper.
What to remember about the Honor Magic 4 Pro
- A 6.8-inch 120Hz OLED TPO display
- The overkill of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1
- 100W super fast charging
Instead of 1,099 euros, the Honor Magic 4 Pro is now available on promotion at 899 euros on the Fnac site, by choosing in-store withdrawal. You will have to bring back an old smartphone in working order, to which the argus will also be deducted from the amount. In addition, you will receive a free Honor Watch GS3 connected watch (worth 249 euros) by completing this form.

A beautiful screen with a camera at the top
For its new high-end phone, Honor has clearly not done things by halves. Indeed, it offers a well-equipped and beautiful device, in particular thanks to a neat design and made with good materials, passing a glass back with mirror effect and a thin metal frame. The 6.8-inch screen is obviously the centerpiece, since it occupies almost the entire front panel thanks to its curved edges on the sides, especially since it is of excellent quality: OLED LTPO, definition 2 848 x 1312 pixels and adaptive 120 Hz refresh rate. We can nevertheless regret the absence of Gorilla Glass protection.
Above all, it has the particularity of differentiating itself from the competition with its protruding photo module at the back, which takes the form of a circle. This last host 3 very good quality sensors: a 50 megapixel wide-angle, a 50 megapixel ultra-wide-angle and a 64 megapixel periscope with optical stabilization, capable of x3.5 optical zoom and digital zoom up to ‘at x100, even if this one is anecdotal. On the other hand, it does a very good job up to x10, considered as good as that of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, and also offers a capable portrait mode and a convincing night mode. The colorimetric consistency between the different sensors is also to be welcomed.
Impressive performance
As far as raw power is concerned, this Magic 4 Pro does like the current premium smartphones on the market by embedding Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. With this chip, Honor’s smartphone gives you access to a world of responsiveness and fluidity, whether in the interface (Magic UI 6.0 based on Android 12) or in 3D games requiring a lot of resources, such as Fortnite which can reach 90 fps here. However, not everything is rosy and heating can be a problem if you spend time using virtual joysticks. For autonomy, the 4,600 mAh battery easily lasts all day, but don’t expect to go until the next day without going through the charging box. Moreover, there is a very efficient 100 W charge since the smartphone goes from 0 to 100% in just 38 minutes, both wired and wireless.
