Nintendo’s latest console, the Switch OLED has something to seduce more than one with its hybrid concept and its improvements. Sold alone at a price of 349 euros, it becomes cheaper on the occasion of the French Days on Amazon, in a pack at only 327.48 euros.
Even if the first version didn’t take a rough ride and continues to sell like hot cakes, this new Nintendo Switch brings a breath of fresh air. Certainly it is not the Pro model that we hoped for, the novelties that it boasts of offering are appreciable. To take advantage of this console, the moment will be perfect since Amazon offers it cheaper in a pack with protections.
What is the Nintendo Switch OLED?
- A hybrid console with a bigger and better screen
- A redesigned dock with improved internal memory
- The large catalog of games on the Nintendo eShop
- And the same Tegra X1+ chip as the classic version
Rarely on promotion, the Nintendo Switch OLED is generally offered at 349 euros. But Amazon now offers it in a pack with a carrying pouch and a screen protector for 327.48 euros.

A tweaked version for a better experience
As its name suggests, the new Nintendo Switch makes way for an OLED screen and abandons the LCD of the first console. A real boon to enjoy the infinite contrasts, and more vivid colors that we are already used to enjoying on smartphones. The Japanese firm widens the screen of its hybrid console: it goes from 7 inches against 6.2 for the first generation, while maintaining the same dimensions. This gain offers better immersion in the game, in particular thanks to the disappearance of the large borders that surrounded the screen before.
Small but important changes
The console dock has also been modified. In addition to its new white look and rounded edges, there is an Ethernet port at the back. Ben useful to be able to enjoy a better connection for your online games, once the console in its docking station. And for those who enjoy their game with several people on the table, you will be more than happy to learn that this OLED version has a much stronger kickstand than before. You won’t be afraid to unfold it, the support is less fragile since it unfolds over the entire length of the console, like Microsoft Surface Pro tablets. This brings real comfort and allows you to better adjust it to find the right viewing angle. Note that internal storage is doubled to 64 GB.
The same processor as the 2019 model
The Nintendo Switch OLED is therefore not the long-awaited Pro model. It is therefore not surprising that the latter embeds the same Tegra X1 + chip of the 2019 model, ensuring better autonomy management than the 2017 version. Unfortunately this hybrid console does not offer a definition in 4K, we finally remain on 1080p, and 720p on the console itself.
