The Nothing phone (1) seems well and truly planned to land this summer, as confirmed by its certification with the Singapore authorities. We learn about its 5G and NFC compatibility.

The phone (1), Nothing’s first phone, will be launched this summer. And that’s about all we know about him, apart from the presence of a Snapdragon chip under his hood, a design that highlights transparency, both confirmed by the brand and some leaks from technical characteristics. Let’s also add three years of major updates.
We learn today that the phone has just passed the certification process with the Singapore authorities, the IMDA. Leaker Mukul Sharma shared a screenshot that attests to this:

The first important piece of information that can be drawn from this, as with any certification, is that the release of the phone (1) scheduled for this summer is still on track. The leaker also specifies that the phone is in the test phase in various Asian countries. He cites Indonesia, India and Malaysia.
Some details
Among the other details that this certification brings us, we discover the model name, A063, as well as the phone’s connectivity capabilities. The phone (1) should therefore have a 5G modem and an NFC chip. We will not insult you by pretending to tell you that it will be compatible with Bluetooth and WiFi.
A few weeks ago, the German site Allround-PC.com touched on a few more details. He was betting on a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 as a SoC, a release around July 21, 2022 and a price around 500 euros.
