The Nothing phone (1) received its first update for the month of July. This comes to correct the first bugs of the smartphone and brings new functionalities. It also improves the quality of the camera.
Nothing wastes no time. Barely released on Thursday July 21, its first smartphone, the Nothing phone (1) receives its first software update with version 1.1.0 of Nothing OS. This new version of the software brings some new features to the device in addition to a security patch for the month of July.
New additions and a polished experience
With this update, Nothing fixes a few bugs and adds some additional features to its phone.
In particular, it adds a functionality related to Tesla vehicles which allows, from the quick settings of the smartphone, to interact directly with a vehicle of the brand. A widget dedicated to NFTs is also present and will allow users to display their artwork directly from the home screen.
On the security side, face unlock performance should now be better. The interface for the Glyph has also been improved, as well as the autonomy in standby mode of the smartphone. Device bugs have also been fixed, including an issue where the fingerprint sensor could no longer show up on the screen.
More faithful photos with less noise
The camera is also gaining proficiency and can now use Glyph light in portrait mode to serve as fill light. The photos also benefit from better processing with less noise in the image and better dynamics in low light situations.
The clarity of the ultra-wide-angle sensor has also been improved on this version and the colorimetry of the two back sensors has been modified to provide images with colors closer to each other.
