The latest electric scooter from the manufacturer, the Mi Scooter 3 copies the other models that preceded it. The design remains the same except for a change in the cables, which go from red to blue, at the level of the wheels at the front and at the rear. This is the only difference visible to the naked eye, because the Mi Scooter 3 is about 700 grams heavier than the 1S model. It nevertheless remains easily transportable, with the possibility of folding it to simplify your travels.
For the rest, we find the same characteristics, with a chassis still in aluminum to support a maximum load of 100 kg and the IP 54 certification to resist drops of rain and dust is still in the game. At the level of the handlebars, there is of course the screen which will display information such as the speed, the state of the battery and the driving mode chosen according to the situation.
Improved performance
The novelty brought to this model lies in the engine. The latter gains 50 W and therefore goes to a power of 300 W (and 500 to 600 W of maximum power) – the same power as the Mi Pro 2 model. This theoretically gives it a power gain, but the scooter will always be restricted to 25 km/h, in accordance with French legislation. However, you will feel it in the acceleration, which will be much faster to reach the maximum authorized speed. The Mi Scooter 3 can also climb sides up to 16%, compared to 20% for the Mi Pro 2. Regarding driving, the scooter is handy and promises good stability, even if it ignores the shock absorbers. The braking system will be very effective.
Finally, Xiaomi prides itself on offering a range of 30 km, the same score as the previous model. However, this figure is obtained under very specific conditions: with a load of 75 kg at 25°C, without wind, on a flat road, and above all at 15 km/h. So this score will inevitably change depending on your driving. For example, if you opt for sport mode, you can travel a little over 20 km. For recharging, you will have to wait for 5h30 to go back on the roads with the full battery.
