A comfortable watch to wear, and easy to use
Unlike the Classic version, the Galaxy Watch 4 agrees a little lightness whether in terms of price or on the scale. With its 40 mm, the Samsung connected watch weighs only 30 grams and is very pleasant to wear on the wrist. In addition, the Samsung Watch 4 gets rid of the rotating bezel, preferring tactile navigation. It thus offers a less rounded design, lighter, and therefore more elegant on the wrist. As for the screen, even if it is the smallest model with 1.2 inches against 1.4 inches on the 44 mm model, it offers good image quality with OLED.
One of the major changes is in the guts of the watch, since Samsung is abandoning its Tizen operating system and turning to WearOS, with the One UI Watch interface. This change brings a new interface that is easy to use and fluid, but above all allows access to a wide range of applications from the much richer Play Store, directly from the watch – moreover, it has 16 GB of storage.
A complete follow-up on health and sport
The Watch 4 offers many sensors for still comprehensive monitoring. There is a GPS to run without your smartphone and measure the distance traveled, a pedometer to know the number of steps, a blood pressure sensor, an electrocardiogram (ECG), as well as a new sensor which measures bio-impedance. It allows you to deduce the muscle and fat mass of your body simply by putting two of your fingers on the electrodes present on the two buttons of the watch.
Another novelty, this time concerning sleep. From now on, your watch will be able to detect your snoring and offers continuous monitoring of blood oxygenation during sleep. Regarding the sports functions, the watch offers a dozen training sessions on the brand’s official application, but you can enjoy many more physical exercises with third-party applications. In terms of autonomy, the 40 mm version has a smaller battery than the 44 model, but will last more than a day depending on your use. Finally, know that the Watch 4 is IP68 certified to resist dust and immersion in water up to 50 meters deep.
