May marks the return of the original Star Wars series and the arrival of Obi-Wan Kenobi with Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen in the leading roles. To celebrate Star Wars Day on May 4, Disney is launching a new making of Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett.

After giving way to Marvel heroes in recent months, Star Wars takes over on Disney+. After Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi signs his return in a mini-series dedicated to the character played by Ewan McGregor who returns to service for the occasion. And he’s not the only one: Darth Vader will be a big part of the fight.
The month of May will also be rich in new series with also a new French production around the story of Malik Oussekine, a young student killed in 1986, or even a production around the famous group Wu-Tang Clan.
As a reminder, it is possible to subscribe to Disney+ alone (8.99 euros per month or 89.99 euros per year) or in the Canal+ subscription.
May The 4th Be With You: Star Wars Fan Day
This Wednesday, May 4 is marked in all the calendars of Star Wars fans and Disney knows it well. May The 4th Be With You has become a planetary event and, for the occasion, the video streaming platform draws a new making of around its series The Boba Fett Book, while waiting for the arrival at the end of the month of the series devoted to Obi-Wan Kenobi (see below).
This is one of the many contents offered on the Star Wars world of Disney + with all the films (except the last, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker due to applied media chronology), but also original productions, series and animations.
If the series The Mandalorian is the most renowned and contributed to the launch (and success) of Disney+, the two seasons of the adventures of the bounty hunter are not the only ones not to be missed. The animated series Star Wars: The Bad Batch takes over from The Clone Wars. It tells the story of an elite troop of experimental clones who are very different from other Republic clones. They must find new meaning in their mission after the fall of the Republic and the Jedi Order.

Obi-Wan Kenobi
Ewan McGregor returns to Obi-Wan Kenobi’s outfit for a 6-episode miniseries that immerses fans in the world of Star Wars. The story takes place 10 years later. Revenge of the Sith and Anakin Skywalker’s choice to join the dark side of the Force to become Darth Vader. The latter will be played by Hayden Christensen, as in the original film. Starting May 27, follow in the footsteps of Obi-Wan Kenobi on a mission against Empire domination.

Oussekine
New French series for Disney+ with the true story of Malik Oussekine, a French student of Algerian origin killed by police on the sidelines of a demonstration in December 1986 in Paris. The series in four episodes follows the investigation that followed this event which had a lasting impact on France. Oussekine takes the point of view of the young man’s mother and those close to him, the way in which his death has changed their lives. With Kad Merad, Olivier Gourmet, Laurent Stocker and Hiam Abbass in the role of mother Aïcha.

How I met your father
As the name suggests, the series is derived from How I met your mother (also available on Disney+). Sophie (Hillary Duff) is a young New Yorker, surrounded by her friends and in search of true love. Like her eldest, the series tells how she met the father of her future child, in an atmosphere that is reminiscent of the series Friends. Beginning of the search for love on May 11.

The famous rap group of the 1990s, the Wu-Tang Clan, is at the heart of an eponymous series on their journey and beginnings at a time marked by a crack epidemic which decimated American youth. Wu-Tang: An American Saga is a 10-episode series created by RZA, the leader of the group. The earthy Amy Schumer is in front and behind the camera of Life & Beth, the story of Beth, a young woman who succeeds in everything and who decides to question her life to regain her teenage hopes. A sparkling comedy, bottle in hand, in 10 episodes.
