Last year, SteelSeries came to enrich its range of Arctis 7 headsets with the launch of the Arctis 7+ model, which stands out above all thanks to its numerous compatibilities. At the moment, it is no longer as expensive since its price has dropped to 99 euros instead of 149 euros at Fnac.

A comfortable helmet like the other Arctis 7
SteelSeries doesn’t change a winning team when it comes to design. The Danish brand has in fact essentially taken up the same lines as the other variations of the Arctis 7 range for its Arctis 7+ headphones. This model therefore adopts a circumaural format: the headphones encompass the entire ear instead of simply resting on it, which aims to maximize comfort during its wearing and not to feel too much pressure on the skull. There is also a resistant steel hoop and a suspension headband inspired by ski goggles that will adapt to all heads, in addition to evenly distributing the weight of the helmet. Regarding the settings, everything is at your fingertips: you can mute or adjust the microphone, but also add ports to switch to wired mode or share audio.
A model compatible with a large number of consoles
While the SteelSeries Arctis 7+ headset was first designed to be used on PC, it is also compatible with other devices, and not least. PS5, PS4, PC, Android, Switch, iPads, Oculus Quest… The headset will fit virtually anything. And this, in particular thanks to its new USB-C dongle, which will allow you to easily switch from one system to another. The 2.4 GHz connection will be there, and will offer good stability and greatly reduce any latency phenomenon.
Regarding the sound, since it is all the same its main interest, the helmet integrates the same 40 mm transducers as those possessed by the references of the Arctis 7 range, which have already proven themselves. Thanks to them, the most discreet sounds will be well amplified and highlighted. In addition, the brand announces that users of its Arctis 7+ will be entitled to early access to SteelSeries Sonar, a new software which allows, among other things, to benefit from 7.1 surround sound.
Effective reduction of surrounding noise
The headset also has a two-way microphone which is, according to the brand, recognized as the best microphone on the gaming market. Just that. In fact, this retractable mic features a two-way Clearcast design. It offers optimal voice clarity and eliminates surrounding noise so that you are not disturbed during your games. It is also designed in a way to specifically target the words that come out of your mouth.
Finally, regarding autonomy, SteelSeries announces a duration of use of 30 hours. Regarding charging, the brand certifies that 15 minutes of charging is enough to play for 3 additional hours.
