Indeed, those that are more than a year old are often a better choice, especially with a much lower price and for a still muscular technical sheet. This is the case of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE which has had many promotions since its release and continues to please, despite the arrival of the new generation, thanks to its price down by nearly 300 euros.

The DNA of the premium range at a low price
The FE range appeals to the greatest number for its philosophy which is to offer a smartphone incorporating all the good elements of a high-end model for a more contained price. The Galaxy S20 FE, the first batch, is a success. The overall design isn’t very original, but the S20 FE is still an eye-pleasing smartphone. Its big asset is undoubtedly its splendid 6.55-inch screen in Full HD + with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz for smooth navigation.
On the photo side, unlike other Galaxy of its generation, the S20 FE model does not offer a 100x zoom or a 108-megapixel photo sensor. It is therefore not as versatile as its big brothers, but is not left out with a main sensor of 12 megapixels, an ultra wide-angle of 12 megapixels and an x3 telephoto lens of 8 megapixels. It will still offer good shots, even if we liked some improvements in low light and on the precision of portrait mode.
Performance that holds up
Compared to the 5G model, the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE in its 4G version is less powerful. We do not find a Snapdragon 865, but instead an Exynos 990 chip coupled with 6 GB of RAM. To date, this configuration has the merit of still being effective and will allow you to run demanding 3D applications and games without worry. Note, the smartphone comes with a storage of 128 GB, expandable via microSD up to 1 TB.
With its 4,500 mAh battery, the smartphone is capable of lasting a day depending on your use. And to save battery, you can always manually switch to 60 Hz mode. Even if the S20 FE model is compatible with fast charging up to 25W, it will take an hour to fully charge it. Little more : wireless charging up to 15 W is also included.
