With the Buds 3T Pro, Xiaomi wants to establish itself in the premium true wireless segment. These headphones are inspired by Apple, but with a more contained price. Today, they even fall to 99.98 euros against 199.99 euros when they were released.

Far from being the only stars, Xiaomi’s new smartphones were presented alongside new connected watches, but also new wireless headphones. And the Buds 3T Pro are the brand’s first headphones to enter the premium segment. They rely on good autonomy, noise reduction technology, but also on spatial audio in order to offer a good audio experience. On the other hand, if Xiaomi tends to cut prices, these true-wireless close to 200 euros. A price increase to take into consideration, but which is still more affordable than the competition, especially since we find discounted at less than 50%.
The Xiaomi Buds 3T Pro in a nutshell
- Some Similarities to Apple’s AirPods Pro
- The presence of active noise reduction
- Comfortable autonomy
With an introductory price of 199.99 euros, the Xiaomi Buds 3T Pro earphones are 50% off and go to only 99.98 euros on Amazon. If you prefer the white color, it is also on sale.
A design inspired by the Apple brand
A professional range of true-wireless has already existed at Xiaomi, but has not been a real success. The manufacturer therefore wants to do better this year by introducing the Buds 3T Pro. More attractive than their predecessors, the latter take up the stem format reminiscent of the design of the AirPods Pro. The Chinese firm can even boast of offering the black color that is missing from the catalog of the Cupertino company.
The Xiaomi Buds 3T Pro are particularly comfortable headphones in the ears, which are quickly forgotten with only 4.9 grams on the scale. With their in-ear format, Xiaomi’s headphones are very pleasant once in the ear canal. They will quickly be forgotten, and you will be able to enjoy them for a good hour. The manufacturer promises a duration of use of 6 hours without activated noise reduction. We go up to 24 hours thanks to the case which can also be recharged wirelessly. The headphones are also resistant to perspiration and splashes with their IP55 certification.
An immersive audio experience
In addition to offering good passive isolation, there is a variable active noise reduction function in three modes, as well as a transparency mode to stay alert in any situation. Xiaomi specifies that its hybrid noise reduction would be able to reduce noise up to a volume of 40 dB. This would reduce background noise by up to 99%. But the real novelty put forward by the manufacturer is the “surround audio” function to offer immersive 360-degree sound. According to the Chinese firm, the headphones are able to follow the movements of your head and play back the music according to your orientation. A function comparable to that offered by Apple with its AirPods.
These features would however be reserved for Xiaomi smartphone owners, it remains to be seen whether the manufacturer will make them accessible to all users. The audio part is not put aside since they embark transducers of 10 mm in diameter. They are also compatible with the classic AAC and SBC codecs, but also with version 4.0 on the LHDC side. If the Xiaomi Buds 3T Pro do not benefit from the LDAC codec or the aptX, they support the LHDC codec – an alternative – so that the music listened to is reproduced with very good fidelity.
