Honor has taken its independence from Huawei and is making a comeback with its very recent Honor Magic 4 Lite 5G. A mid-range smartphone that sees its price drop to 279 euros against 349.90 euros when it was released.
With the many difficulties that the manufacturer Huawei is going through, Honor has decided to leave the ship to return in force to the smartphone market. It’s been a few weeks since the Chinese brand presented its Honor Magic 4 Lite, a mid-range smartphone that comes with a balanced technical sheet and Google services. The good news is that today its price becomes more interesting thanks to this 20% discount.

A powerful smartphone, not without flaws
The light version of the Honor Magic 4 provides performance with its Snapdragon 695 coupled with 6 GB of RAM and helped by 2 GB of virtual RAM. This configuration is not the most powerful, but it has the merit of offering a smooth daily experience without slowdowns, whether for multitasking or running applications. It even offers the possibility of playing 3D games, provided you do not push them too much. Besides, we appreciate the possibility of downloading applications again from the PlayStore. Unfortunately, no Android 12 on this model, but Android 11 with the Magic UI 4.2 interface. The brand promises a switch to Android 13 at the end of 2022. A little extra, this chip also allows you to take advantage of the 5G network.
To return to the smartphone, the latter takes up the aesthetic codes of the brand with a photo module that does not go unnoticed. Otherwise on the front panel, big screen aficionados will be happy to discover a large 6.81 inch panel almost without edges with a punch in the center. What is regrettable, however, is to find an LCD panel when most competitors offer AMOLED for the same price, or even less. It remains very appreciable and benefits from an FHD + definition as well as a refresh rate at 120 Hz, ensuring a good fluidity.
A champion of autonomy
To keep up, Honor offers a 4800 mAh battery on its new mid-range smartphone. With such a capacity, the phone can easily last two days thanks to its LCD screen with adaptive refresh. And if you use your smartphone intensively, the manufacturer offers a 66 W fast charge. A real asset, which will allow you to recover 45% in just 15 minutes – count 45 minutes for a full charge.
Finally, on the photo side, the Honor Magic 4 Lite offers three sensors on the back: a 48-megapixel wide-angle lens, a macro lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor each. Overall, the main sensor is doing brilliantly and will allow you to capture beautiful shots. The portrait and night modes are quite correct, but the macro sensor is quite useless. We regret the absence of an ultra wide angle.
