No E3? No problem ! Xbox stays the course and will still organize its traditional June conference. The Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase is announced for Sunday, June 12 at 7 p.m. PT with upcoming games and Game Pass on the menu.
The world is changing, but some things not on Xbox’s side. The beginning of June is usually devoted to announcements of upcoming video game releases. Even in the absence of the canceled E3 this year, the gaming branch of Microsoft remains faithful to its habits.
It has thus announced the holding of its Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase on Sunday June 12 at 10 a.m. (7 p.m. Paris time), more or less, the date and time that one would have expected if the big video game fair in Los Angeles had taken place. The big difference is that the event should once again be broadcast online and not organized from the Microsoft Theater in the Californian city.
Games and Game Pass on the program
Although only Bethesda is associated with the name of the event (but the publisher usually had its own conference before falling into the hands of Xbox), the conference should be the occasion to discover the next games under the Xbox Game Studios banner which will then appear. On the other hand, Activision Blizzard King, whose takeover by Xbox is still under negotiation, will not yet be part of the family reunion.
Xbox therefore provides a lot of information on the next house blockbusters, but also advances for the Xbox Game Pass and the PC Game Pass which should soon be awash in games. They should rather find a place on board the Summer Game Fest organized by Geoff Keighley, the official dates of which are still awaited. But it seems to be taking shape around the usual dates of the meeting for video game fans, in June. All that remains is the confirmation and the program.
