Xiaomi is launching three connected TVs which are equipped with Amazon Fire OS to enjoy Fire TV services. Three televisions for three sizes: 43, 50 and 55 inches.
If Xiaomi launches a lot (too many?) of smartphones, the brand does not only do that: it also manufactures televisions. It has just announced three new televisions that integrate Fire TV; it is the interface for TVs of Fire OS, the operating system developed by Amazon for its products and based on Android.
The Amazon ecosystem in a television: a first in France
It’s not the first time that Amazon’s ecosystem has been integrated directly into a TV, although there is the Fire TV Stick which allows it to be used independently on any device with an input. hdmi. Amazon had already launched its own Fire TV sets like the Omni and Series 4, but only in the United States. With Xiaomi and its F2 TV series, this is a first in France.
This ecosystem therefore offers Alexa, Amazon’s voice assistant. Using it allows you to control your connected objects compatible with the assistant in particular. The applications available include Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, Molotov, myCanal, france.tv, Arte TV, etc.
The Xiaomi TV F2 series is in 4K
The panel that equips the F2 TV series is of a 4K UHD definition (3840 by 2160 pixels) which has a refresh rate of 60 Hz. For sound, DTS Virtual X, Dolby Audio and DTS-HD technologies are integrated and enable surround sound; it will be produced by two 12 W speakers. On the hardware side, we have 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage, for connectivity there is Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 and AirPlay.
